The Type 300 S (W 188 I) was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1951 and is today one of the most sought-after collectors cars of all. With a list price of DM 36,500
the Mercedes 300 Sc (W 188 II) with fuel injection engine was DM 7,500 more expensive than the 300 SL Gullwing at the time! Only 98 examples of the fuel injected 300Sc coupes ( built between January 1956 and July 1957) and one of the rarest post-war offerings from the factory!
According to the data card copy
the offered vehicle was completed on 25.06.1956 and delivered to one Mr. J. Louis in the USA on 29.05.1957. Until recently this lovely coupe resided most majoritly of its life in California. Based on its well-preserved original condition
the car underwent an extensive restoration by marque specialists over a period of four years. Before having been restored the car had been with the Arsuaga family in La Jolla
California for 30 years and was traded through well-known 300 Sc expert Chuck Brahms. A rare opportunity to acquire an early example of the coveted 300 Sc Coupé in particularly beautiful condition

The high quality restoration was carried out by Sebastian Dominguez
a specialist at SB Coachwork Restorations in Southern California. They are most well known for their metal finishing without the use of fillers. The 300Sc was in good original condition when the restoration started. Every component of the car has been rebuilt and restored. The factor chrome wheels (correctly dated) look fantastic
Mechanical fine-tuning was carried out by Doctor Jaguar in Albuquerque
New Mexico. The coupé has been prepared for long distances and spirited tours and is very well sorted

Servicearbeiten in deutscher Werkstatt im 12.2021 für 28.500-EUR durchgeführt
Der Typ 300 S (W 188 I) wurde auf dem Pariser Automobil Salon im Oktober 1951 vorgestellt und gehört heute zu den gesuchtesten Liebhaberfahrzeugen überhaupt. Mit einem Listenpreis von 36.500 DM war der Mercedes 300 Sc (W 188 II) mit Einspritzmotor seinerzeit um 7.500 DM teurer als der 300 SL Flügeltürer! Insgesamt wurden zwischen Januar 1956 und Juli 1957 nur 98 Exemplare des 300 Sc Coupés gebaut!
Das hier präsentierte Fahrzeug wurde gemäß vorliegender Mercedes-Benz Datenkarte am 25.06.1956 fertiggestellt und am 29.05.1957 an Mr. J. Louis in die USA ausgeliefert
wo es seitdem ununterbrochen beheimatet war. Der Wagen wurde auf Basis seines gut erhaltenen Originalzustandes über einen Zeitraum von vier Jahren einer umfangreichen Restauration durch Markenspezialisten unterzogen. Vor seiner Restauration befand sich der Wagen 30 Jahre lang im Famlienbesitz in La Jolla
Kalifornien und wurde über den bekannten 300 Sc Experten Chuck Brahms gehandelt. Eine seltene Gelegenheit
ein frühes Exemplar des begehrten 300 Sc Coupé in einem besonders schönen Zustand zu erwerben
